The Estate
Behind the gate, eight acres unfold into gardens, walking trails, and a private lake — with a grand castle at the center, a fairytale cottage tucked to one side, and a lakeside studio overlooking the pool. Book the whole estate for a reunion, take the castle for a smaller group, or settle into a single cottage for a quiet weekend near UC Davis.
The Layout
The castle stands on its own, or comes bundled with the fairytale retreat and the lake cottage for larger groups. The two smaller cottages can also be booked on their own — a good fit for a couple's trip — though on those stays you may share the grounds and pool with other guests staying elsewhere on the property. Nine thousand square feet of storybook and comfort at once: a home theater for movie nights, a wine room, and a game room stocked with a pool table, poker table, and foosball. Climb the private staircase to the tower for a 360° view over the grounds, or work quietly from the dedicated office downstairs. Every bedroom is generously sized, and the whole house is built for a group that wants space to spread out without ever losing each other.
A domed ceiling and a gas fireplace set the tone for the primary suite.

A smaller, quieter cottage a short walk from the castle, with its own fireplace living room and a private patio over the pond. The queen bedroom downstairs has an en suite walk-in shower; upstairs, an open-air den adds two twin beds for kids or extra guests. Self check-in makes it an easy fit for a UC Davis visit or a couple's weekend, and guests still have shared access to the pool, the lake, and the grounds.

The smallest and most private of the three — a single open studio with a king bed and a daybed-with-trundle, sliding glass doors opening onto a private patio, and a front-row seat to the pool and the pond beyond it. There's a dedicated workspace tucked inside for anyone stealing a work day between walks around the grounds, and self check-in via smartlock means arrival is entirely on your schedule.

A gated estate just outside Davis, close enough to UC Davis for an easy visit, and about fifteen miles from downtown Sacramento for anyone flying in or heading out for the day.

Up to 19 overnight guests when all three homes are booked: the castle sleeps up to 10, the Fairytale Retreat up to 5, and the Lake Cottage up to 4.
Yes. The castle can be booked on its own, and so can either cottage. On cottage stays you may share the grounds and pool with other guests staying elsewhere on the property. Book all three and the whole estate is private to your group.
The infinity pool is open mid-May through early October, weather permitting. The water is heated, and its temperature varies with the time of year.
No, the lake is not for swimming. Paddleboards and pedal boats are provided, and there is a sandy beach and a covered gazebo and dock at the water’s edge.

Yes: weddings, milestone birthdays, family reunions, showers, anniversary dinners and company retreats. Day events are for up to 50 guests, and up to 19 can stay overnight. The estate is just outside Davis: about 2 miles to the UC Davis Arboretum, about 15 miles to downtown Sacramento, and about 25 minutes to Sacramento International Airport.
